Committees and Projects

The committees of the Deborah Sampson Chapter, NSDAR, plan and execute many programs, events, and fundraisers throughout the year. From book drives to wreath layings to honoring our military, the committees of the Deborah Sampson Chapter, NSDAR, exemplify the three principles of DAR service – education, historic preservation, and patriotism.

Service to Veterans

For the DAR Day of Service 2019, we visited the Veterans Garden, West Bridgewater, to serve refreshments to the gardeners and present them with supplies for next year.

Service to America

For the DAR Day of Service 2020, members donated, collected, and bagged gently used clothing to be given to the Vietnam Veterans of America.

DAR Good Citizens

Each year we honor high school students who have been chosen as their schools’ Good Citizen. Each student must demonstrate: dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism.

Constitution Week

Each year, from September 17 to the 23, the DAR celebrates Constitution Week. Chapter activities have included presentations, bell ringing, and local library displays.

When you join the DAR, you enter a network of more than 185,000 women who form lifelong bonds, honor their revolutionary ancestors and promote historic preservation, education, and patriotism in their communities.
